Day 4: Creamy Basil Chicken with Tortellini
Hey Boxed Meal Buddies,
Here are a few unpopular options I'm not afraid to share :
But sometimes you have to branch out of your comfort zone, or pretend like you like something to be cool. Today I do just that with Creamy Basil Chicken with Tortellini.
Ok so, upon taking this out of the microwave for the stirring prep-step it smells delicious, just like Chicken Alfredo. The veggies look bitchin'. I'm really surprised with the amount of food in this particular meal. Everything else has been a bit sparse but they loaded this bad-boy up. Also, the box touted something called "yellow carrots" but i'm almost positive these are bell peppers. The tortellini are the size of regular tortellini which I find exhilarating.
I will say i'm disappointed with how the consistency of the sauce turned out. It was thicker at the stirring pre-step than it is upon completion. It is more "watery" than "creamy". Turns out yellow carrots are a thing because you bite into one and are overcome with "Woah! That is a carrot!" The chicken is very salty, i'd compare it to the chicken in canned soup. This is one of the more sodium rich meals with 26% the daily value so i'm not surprised. All in all it tastes very similar to Chicken Alfredo. I personally wouldn't buy this meal again because alas, I don't like cream sauces! However, I have already recommended a friend give it a try because if that's your thing you'd probably be into this.

Here are a few unpopular options I'm not afraid to share :
- I think Kris Jenner is a good mom.
- I don't like Dave Matthews Band.
- I'm really not a big fan of "Cream Sauces".
